FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Online Store
Here we answer your most common questions about shipping, returns, and bonsai care. We want your experience to be clear and without surprises.
Product
Are the bonsais shown on the website exactly what I will receive?
Yes. Each tree is unique and photographed individually, so the tree you see on the website is the same one that will arrive at your home.
At Ikigai Bonsai, we make sure that the photographs accurately represent each specimen, so you can choose with complete confidence, knowing that you will receive exactly the tree that captivated you on the screen.
How can I tell if a bonsai is available?
All products available on the website are ready for sale. If it says "sold out," it means it is no longer in stock.
Our catalog is constantly updated, so everything you see available is truly ready for immediate shipment.
What medium are the bonsai trees planted in?
Shipping costs depend on the order amount and the shipping address. In some cases, shipping is free.
Add the desired products to your cart and you will automatically see the final price, including shipping costs, if any.
Do they come in a professional pot?
Yes. All our trees are in authentic ceramic bonsai pots, ready for cultivation and design.
Each pot is chosen with aesthetic and functional criteria, ensuring proper breathability and complementing the tree's natural beauty.
Are the bonsais ready to be worked on?
Yes. Our pre-bonsai have been transplanted and have a worked and developed root ball, ready to be styled.
This means you can confidently begin your styling project right away.
What is the difference between a yamadori bought here and one taken from the wild?
Our trees are free of forest soil, which prevents root rot and ensures a solid base for their development.
Bonsai with forest soil has a high probability of dying in the next transplant, and its cultivation will be deficient.
At Ikigai Bonsai, we guarantee that each specimen is properly settled in professional substrate, to offer you a solid and durable base.
Payments and Promotions
What forms of payment do you accept? And can I finance a tree?
We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers.
Yes, you can finance your bonsai through Klarna, and you won't pay a single euro more: you'll pay exactly the price shown on the website.
Financing is fast, secure, and without additional costs.
Do you offer bonsais as gifts?
Of course. We can send the tree to the address you provide and add a special message if you wish.
Each gift shipment is prepared with the same care and presentation as a personal order, so that the recipient has an unforgettable experience from the very first moment.

Yes. We ship throughout the European Union, with shipping costs included in the price, with the exception of the Atlantic Islands.
Each shipment is handled by specialized carriers to ensure the safety and well-being of the trees during transit.
Is shipping already included in the price?
Yes. All our bonsai already have shipping included in their price.
What you see on the website is the final price, with no surprises or additional costs.
Will the bonsai arrive in good condition?
Yes. We carefully pack each tree, crafting the box with high-hardness wood and cardboard materials so it travels protected and safe to your home.
The pot is wrapped in plastic to ensure the bonsai's humidity conditions, and our trees are perfectly anchored to the pot so they don't move.
Every detail of the packaging is designed so your bonsai arrives healthy, stable, and ready for its new stage with you.
